| September 7, 2009 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT — Fans of the martial arts now have another studio to hone their craft with the recent opening of Sandpoint’s Dynasty Taekwondo.

Dynasty Taekwondo teaches both traditional and Olympic taekwondo, which owner Casey Crotty said can bolster confidence, focus, and personal development while teaching applicable self defense techniques.

Dynasty is a registered member of the Amateur Athletic Union and USA Taekwondo.  The studio also hosts seminars by masters of various martial arts to provide a broad training experience.

Crotty said he opened Dynasty last year to provide previous taekwondo students — age 10 and up — continuity in their training by a Kukkiwon-certified black belt instructor. The studio also gives potential martial arts students another opportunity to explore their training options in the area.

“As an instructor, my goal is to help my students obtain their goals in the martial arts,” Crotty said. “My job is to help the student while teaching the art of taekwondo, developing a well-rounded martial artist.”

Dynasty Taekwondo is located inside Natural Fitness, located at1103 West Superior St.
