Anderson scores two goals in win over Trojans

POST FALLS — Daniel Anderson scored an unassisted goal in the 23rd minute and added a penalty kick in the 27th to lead Sandpoint past Post Falls 2-1 in nonleague play Tuesday at Post Falls High School.

Anderson now has four goals on the young season. Post Falls’ Wesley Billingslea scored in the 72nd minute with an assist from Nate Whalen.

“Sandpoint was tough as usual,” Post Falls coach Gabe Lawson said. “We played flat against them in the first half, but we put them on their heels in the second.”

Sandpoint (5-0-1) plays at Coeur d’Alene on Saturday.
