Priest River banks Newport

PRIEST RIVER — Senior runningback Tanner Rabidue rushed for 102 yards on just three carries for the Spartans who won 34-0 Friday night.  Rabidue would also catch 3 passes for 80 yards and have a 65-yard touchdown run called back on a holding penalty.

“Tanner (Rabidue) really used his speed well and had a great game,” said Spartan coach Jared Hughes.  “He was explosive getting to the outside of the field and also played very well on the defensive side of the ball.”

Priest River stuck to tradition and rushed the ball 22 times for 271 yards and recorded 416 total yards on just 31 plays.  Zack Miller added 31 yards and a rushing touchdown to a 10-yard fumble recovery for a score.  The Grizzlies gained 187 total yards on 56 plays, 132 of their yards came off 44 rushing attempts.

Priest River (2-0) plays again next Friday at Freeman, Wash.

WALLACE — Quarterback Tyler Beard threw three touchdowns and ran for two more, leading Wallace past Clark Fork in a North Star League game.

Nathan Cook added 255 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries for Wallace (1-1, 1-1).

Clark Fork (0-3, 0-2 NSL) has a bye next week.
