Lewis and Clark defeats SHS

SPOKANE — It was another tough outing for the Sandpoint girls soccer team in the state of Washington, as the Bulldogs fell 4-0 to Lewis and Clark Thursday afternoon in Spokane.

Brice Clark had 11 saves in goal, but the Bulldogs (4-4-1) could never get things going as they fell to 0-4 on the season against Washington schools. Lewis and Clark had 15 shots on goal while Sandpoint managed just six.

“It was a pretty dismal performance. Lewis and Clark is good, but not that good,” said Bulldogs head coach Adam Tajan, who schedules the bigger out of state schools to strengthen his team for a run at state. “We can play a lot better, but the Washington schools seem to have our number this year.”

Sandpoint hosts Lewiston on Saturday, at 6 p.m. at War Memorial Field.
