Cats hang tough at BF tourney

BONNERS FERRY — Clark Fork won once and lost twice during pool play on Saturday at the Bonners Ferry volleyball tournament.

The Wampus Cats (5-3) lost 25-10, 22-25 and 15-11 to Libby, then beat Lake City’s JV 25-18 and 25-19, before falling to Timberlake 25-22, 23-25 and 15-9. Both of the Cats tightly contested losses came against the two finalists, as Libby edged Timberlake in three sets to win the championship.

The Cats gained some more seasoning against bigger schools, and return to North Star League play tonight when they  travel to Mullan.
