Informed voters are crucial to the future

| September 21, 2009 9:00 PM

Having a country of informed voters is crucial to our future. Do not be naive as to support  someone for the sake of their principles before election. We have been sorely disappointed by our politicians’ change of convictions after election day. They will say anything to get your vote. We need to scrutinize their statements of being an everyday, patriotic American. Research their track record, examining their organizations of affiliation, their background, and leanings on the issues.

Simply consider this, the securing of liberty starts at the local level. It starts in every individual home. Networking is key and each added person is a valuable component. Don’t be another one passively watching the spread of corruption. If you wait for your personal line of comfort to be crossed before you choose to be involved, it may and most likely will be too late.

Above all, it is imperative to not forsake the counsel of the giver of wisdom and our inalienable rights since the beginning, the Lord God. By the grace and understanding of my God, for my future wife and kids, for my beloved friends, for an establishment of liberty and justice for all as a nation under God, I choose to engage in this struggle for our country.

I pray you will join with me. To learn how to be effective in the fight for liberty, join like-minded people in the Campaign for Liberty, meeting every third Tuesday at the Bonner County Library at 5 p.m. We are dedicated to educating the people and getting our country back to a constitutional government, with a truly free market and a non-interventionist foreign policy. This can only be done with a grassroots effort, which is why the involvement of as many people as possible dedicated to individual responsibility is essential. This is the level that battles of the righteous are won. It cannot be emphasized enough.
