SANDPOINT — Alissa Millard had a huge service run in the pivotal fourth game, to help Sandpoint stave off an upset and take down Post Falls 25-23, 27-29, 27-29, 25-23, and 15-9 in a dramatic win Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

“She’s a spark plug,” said head coach Karen Alsager of her libero. “She’s the energizer bunny for out team. That’s why she’s out there.”

Piper Wahlin had 14 kills, Christina Johnson had 10 kills and 20 digs, and Koko James added 24 assists as the Bulldogs (9-1) got all they wanted from the scrappy Trojans (14-4).

Sandpoint is at Gonzaga Prep on Thursday.
