Chamber Ambassadors welcome Carden Academy

| September 28, 2009 9:00 PM

Teaching children to think is the goal at Carden Academy-Sandpoint, a private Kindergarten through Fifth grade school which recently celebrated 10 years of providing academic excellence.  Director Cynthia Nielsen announced at the anniversary that they are not celebrating buildings, but celebrating the 105 students who have passed through Carden Academy.

On average the school receives 10.5 new students every year, and it is no wonder the program is so successful.  The teaching method is highly individualized to meet the distinct needs of each student.  The teachers are trained to identify and meet those needs and to be fair and just managers of the classroom.  Through the Carden approach students strive to understand, not memorize.  Additionally, they accept responsibility for learning, apply and incorporate constructive suggestions, develop strong work habits, improve social relationships, as well as build and guide their own character development.

The Chamber congratulates Carden Academy-Sandpoint and thanks them for their continued service to provide education to develop future generations.
