We all deserve to voice our opinions

| September 28, 2009 9:00 PM

To Emily Kuzmich.  First of all, forgiveness is something we do for ourselves, not other people.  Yes, I have forgiven Vick for his actions, but I don’t excuse his actions anymore than I would excuse a murderer or a drunk driver for their actions.  Vick committed a crime, he served his time and now he’s back to making millions of dollars a year playing football.

On to healthcare reform.  Yes Emily, I do care.  I do care about the several million disabled people in our society that are unable to afford good healthcare.  These are the people we need to help.  Not people like me, I have health insurance.  What about people who can afford insurance, but choose to buy a boat instead?  Why should you have to pay for their insurance just so they can keep their boat?  We need real reform designed to help people, not a government take-over that’ll line the pockets corrupt politicians, greedy corporations and trial lawyers.

Emily, you are also very predictable.  When you protest, you call yourself patriotic.  When I protest, you call me un-American, a right-wing extremist, an “evil-monger,” a Nazi and now you call me a racist.

I don’t care about your race, I care about your opinions and I demand my constitutionally guaranteed right to disagree with them.  And I’m not negative, I just want my government to follow the Constitution the way it was written instead of ignoring it.
