Jack P. Anderson, 88, passed away peacefully at home in Spokane, Wash., on Monday, March 29, 2010.

Those who were lucky enough to know him quickly realized the colorful personality he had. Whether it was talking about his days logging, fishing for perch, gardening and cooking tips or just the occasional conversation of what was going on that day; he always had something to add and wonderful stories to tell.  He was a wealth of knowledge and wasn’t afraid to share it.

One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as a Marine in World War II. Many times he could be seen wearing his World War II veteran hat, in which he wore with great honor and pride. We all thank him for his courage and commitment in supporting and protecting our country.

Jack left a lasting impression on everyone that had the privilege to meet him. He will for always be remembered and will be in our hearts forever. Thank you for all the great times and memories. We love you!

Born Aug. 25, 1921, Jack is survived by his sister, Lois; his daughters, Teresa, Letha, Lynnea and Lorena; his sons, Monte, Matt and Clint; as well as 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Jack was a longtime resident of Clark Fork, Idaho.

Private services will be held at a later date.
