Fern M. Stockdale Coatney

Fern M. Stockdale Coatney passed away on April 5, 2010.

Services will be held April 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Fir Lane Funeral Home, 924 176th St. in East Spanaway, Wash.

She was born in Rose, Neb., on Nov 28, 1923, to Williamm “Irvin” and Susan “Irene” Stoner Stockdale.

Fern moved from the home of her parents in Sandpoint, Idaho to Seattle, Wash., during World War II, where she worked for Bellvue Hospital, ending her working career of 48 years retiring from Fort Lewis in December 1988 with a wonderful retirement party honoring her and her work ethics

Fern was fiercely independent and had great love for her family.

She was a member of Eagles lodge and Life Christen Church in Tacoma, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all siblings, her five brothers and one sister.

Internment will be at Seneaquoteen Cemetery in Bonner County in the Stockdale family plot.

Surviving family celebrating her life are daughter, Sally Campbell  and son-in-law, Wayne in Puyallup, Wash.; daughter, Louise Lane and son-in-law Gerry Anderson of Roseville, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
