Penny Hazeltine Frechette

| April 8, 2010 9:00 PM

Celebrating Easter was one of Penny’s favorite times of the year. This is a memorial to her and for the friends and classmates who have asked how she is and what she is doing. She is in heaven. No doubt about it.

Recently, her family became aware the local newspaper was not informed of her passing on Jan. 30, 2008. Penny died of a rare cancer in Boise, Idaho, where she and her husband, Dave, resided and were partners in the Frechette Farmers Insurance Agency.

You may remember Penny for her quick wit, playing the clarinet in band, performing with the Sandpoint High School drill team or listening to her sing with the choir at the Sandpoint Methodist Church. After graduating from SHS in 1961, Penny attended Nampa Business College in a scholarship and graduated in 1963. She lived in Nampa, Idaho, for more than 20 years, where she became a district manager for Avon products.

Penny is survived by Dave Frechette; her children, Brenda Blake Tate, Brent Blake and Bob Blake; two grandsons, two graddaughters and one great-granddaughter. She also had three sstepsons and seven grandchildren that she loved and help raise.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents, long-time Sandpoint residents, Jerald and Goldie Haeltine.

In loving memory,

your sisters and brothers-in-law,

Patt (George) Bowlsby of Tualatin, Ore.

Jerri (Bill) Stevens of Sandpoint, Idaho

Debbie (Larry) Jacobson of Wasilla, Alaska
