Megahertz plan has many unanswered questions
A few people know that I attended Bonner County commissioners’ meetings for many years before my stroke. Hospital stays and rehabilitation have been slow, but due to very qualified people and a caring wife I am much improved.
So on March 23, I went to another meeting to see if I could get come information on the 700 megahertz plan for Bonner County. I had heard a little from friends and read a few documents from a county committee. I arrived just as the meeting was starting, with about 35 questions on my mind. I waited until the public comment agenda item was called and was allowed to asked five or six of my questions. Mr. Brown of KSPT interrupted and was given the floor by Chairman Joe Young. I was not given back the floor … public comment time had apparently expired. I felt tired so I left after about 30 minutes more.
My one thought that I brought from that meeting is this: Following the present mindset of Mr. Young and Lewis Rich, it will cost precisely between $650,000 and $21 million to accomplish whatever Mr. Young and Mr. Rich have on their alleged minds. Some money has already been spent? I do not want to guess, too much is written down, I do know Mr. Young is in charge and Mr. Rich is in full accord.
