Timberwolves shut out Bulldogs

| April 21, 2010 9:00 PM

COEUR d’ALENE — Meghan Hamilton, Rachel Hammack and Jamie Elsfelder each had a hit in the Bulldogs’ 10-0 loss to 5A power Lake City Wednesday afternoon in softball action at Lake City High School.

After a hard-earned split the previous night against Lakeland, the Bulldogs (4-12) were unable to muster much offense against Lake City.

“They’re a good 5A team,” said Sandpoint head coach Derek Dickinson. “We were able to put a lot of balls in play, which was encouraging.”

Molly Givens and Maggie Kirscher split pitching duties on the day for Sandpoint, which turns its attention to a big 4A North doubleheader Monday at Travers Park.
