Louise was born in Ennis, Mont., on Sept 6, 1920, the daughter of Robert and Bessie Hatcher. She moved to Cocolalla, Idaho, in 1930 where she graduated from the eighth grade. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1939 and married Lavon Luckey on June 15, 1940, in Sandpoint.

She and Lavon lived on Pine Street, in a house that he built in 1948.

Louise moved to Pocatello in 2005 to be with her family, for health reasons. Different members of the Luckey Family had lived on Pine Street for 80 years, with Louise being the last to leave.

Louise enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, canning, golfing and bowling.

Louise is survived by four children, Phillip (and Angela) Luckey, Dennis Luckey, Joyce (and Dickerson) McDowell, and Laura Luckey (and Ed Morse), all living in the Pocatello, Idaho, area. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Bradetich of Sandpoint; her brother, Bill Hatcher of Laclede; two brothers-in-law, Harvey (and Eva) Luckey of Kelso Lake, Idaho, and Lee Luckey of Spokane, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Doris Stewart in Denver, Colo.; and her niece and close friend, Mae Beers in Sagle, Idaho.

Louise was a well loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many; she will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to sign Louise’s online guestbook at www.coffeltfuneral.com.
