Donald Duane Moline

Donald Duane Moline passed away April 20, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1935 in Frazee, Minnesota to Ray and Minnie Moline.

As a young child, Don moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where he grew up, attended high school, and was a member of the Idaho National Guard.

In 1955 he married Carol Lee Andrews and moved to Spokane, Wash., where they raised five children.

In June 1969, Don married Diana L. Burris and moved Ponderay, Idaho. Nearing retirement, Don and Diana moved to Sagle, Idaho, where they built their log home.

Don, an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and logging. He relished the challenges of building and repairing computers and loved traveling and spending winters in Yuma, Ariz. His last big adventure with Diana was a Panama Canal Cruise in April 2009.

He was a member of the Edgemere Seventh-day Adventist church and loved serving the Lord. His faith was strong and provided him strength and determination in his daily walk.

Don hired on with Great Northern Rail Road in April 1956 and retired from the Burling-ton Railroad as a brakeman/conductor in the mid-1980s.

Don is preceded in death by his mother Minnie; his father, Ray; a brother, Dale; and his wife, Diana.

Don is survived by his sister, Lila Lauman; children, Shannon Syth, Sharla LaBelle, Scott Moline, Julie Amick, and Jeff Moline; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Leslie, Alysha, Sean, Andrew, Kalab, Savannah, Jennifer, Martina; and five great-grandchildren, Mahea-lani, Kainoa, Harley, Isaiah, and Drayden.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Edgemere Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 5161 Vay Road.
