Wampus Cats dominate league tennis foes

| April 26, 2010 9:00 PM

CLARKSTON — Clark Fork dominated its league foes Saturday in a five team tennis meet in Clarkston, winning 19 of 23 matches and helping its  seeds considerably for the upcoming district tournament.

A host of Wampus Cats won multiple matches on the day, led by defending state 3A doubles champs Chelsea Macumber and Shaina Gustafson, who scored a nice straight set win over Clearwater in the only match that wasn’t an eight-game pro set.

The Cats will get a great look today when they come to Sandpoint to face the Bulldogs, arguably the strongest team in North Idaho.
