Candidates' forum on tap
SANDPOINT — The Daily Bee, the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and Ponderay Economic Development Corp. are sponsoring a candidates’ forum on May 13 for all county and state candidates.
The event will be held at Sandpoint High School’s auditorium and will begin at 6 p.m. There is no charge.
“There are many contested races in the May 25 primary election and people need to be informed to cast an intelligent vote,” said Daily Bee Publisher David Keyes. “Elections need to be more that yard signs and other people telling you how to vote, so I invite everyone to come out and meet the candidates.”
The audience will be invited to ask questions. There will also be questions from the moderator and local media representatives.
The forum will be recorded by Videosmith, Chuck Smith, and will be broadcast on local cable channel No. 5 at various times before the election.
Only those candidates in contested races will speak at the forum, but all candidates are invited to attend.
The Bee is also publishing an election publication that will be included in the paper prior to the election. The Bee also invites you to check out the Election 2010 button at bonnercountydailybee.com for the latest election coverage.
