Focus on attitude instead of medals

| August 10, 2010 9:00 PM

Dear Mr. Lockwood,

It is a sad situation when a public servant finds it necessary to outline how great they are.

The police department, as well as the city, should be looking at what’s happening to our city.  What we really need is a few more undercover police cars or maybe more SWAT squad equipment.

I see the speed traps and the attitude of our police department.  I hope someone divides the 3,600 violations as reported into the population and ask yourself if just maybe we have gone a little overboard.

I think one’s attitude and personal conduct should speak for itself, not medals, citations or personal grade A, B, C or F with many believing the latter.
