Tyranny feeds on politically correct language

| August 11, 2010 9:00 PM

Tyranny: Oppressive and unjust government or political system. Unjust use of power or authority.

A slow tyranny is best won by intimidation, much like the bully who is loud, boisterous and would hold reign over the schoolyard children. Wow just think about the one brave kid who stood up to the bully and then the many others found their courage to do the same.

Slow tyranny thrives on silencing people by using the “politically correct” language which makes people think twice about saying something at all. Once again this is yet another form of intimidation.

We must be willing to stand up for the truth. We need to have honest conversation. As Benjamin Franklin wrote: “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”

This administration is usurping more and more power right before our eyes. Our individual freedoms are being challenged daily. George Washington praised the American Constitution as the “Palladium of human rights so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.”

We must be ever vigilant at this time in our lives. To simply think that the next guy will take on the task to rail against the government strong hold that is going on would only continue the complacency we have been undergoing the past few decades. We have taken our eyes off the ugly monstrous government that has slowly but surly been growing more powerful. Do not let our great nation become a “welfare state.” We are a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy. The Federal Government is and has been moving away from our Constitution and using the catch word of “Democracy” to literally fool people into believing that Democracy and Republic are one of the same. They are NOT In the early 1900’s a group was formed on University and College campuses known as the ISS (Intercollegiate Socialist Society). Their intention was to establish a worldwide movement of industrial Democracy better known as Socialism. Over time the American people have been fooled to think that equating a Democracy is the same as a Republic. It is NOT.

Today our Constitution is being severely attacked and once again we are being lulled into the sense that it is not modern enough to rely on for all the ills of our nation. Just the opposite is true. If we are to remain a free people we must defend our Constitution on every front possible. Our Constitution is the very foundation of our nation. If we are to exist at all, we must protect our Constitution no matter how much the liberal progressive movement tries to destroy it. The Progressive movement is strong but I believe there is a greater populace who truly believe in Individual Freedom and Liberty and not in more and more government control. We must bring integrity back into the realm of politics. Make your voices heard. Vote November, 2010 and November 2012.

God Bless America
