Erma L. Russell, 91

Erma L. Russell, 91, a wonderful homemaker, mother, wife and grandmother, passed away at Huckleberry Retirement Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010.

Graveside services will be conducted 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in the Oakland Cemetery in Beaman, Iowa.

She was born Aug. 20, 1918, to Ule and Ada (Weaver) Cantrell in Hartville, Mo. Erma lived in Beaman for 50 years, where she worked at the meat counter in a grocery store in Conrad, Iowa.

She moved to Sandpoint 2004.

Erma belonged to the Beaman Rebekah Lodge for a number of years. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, sewing but most of all she loved caring for and spending time with her family; children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Erma is survived by three children, Donald of Oregon, Ken (Shelly) Russell of Sandpoint, and Vicki Cox of Gilman, Iowa; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Leroy; her parents, Ada and Harrison Russell; and a daughter, Karel Majerus.
