SANDPOINT — A Careywood woman accused of repeatedly possessing and selling methamphetamine was given concurrent eight-year prison term on Tuesday.

Leslie Rae O’Neil will have to serve at least three years of the sentence before she becomes eligible for parole, according to the terms of sentence imposed by 1st District Judge Steve Verby on Tuesday.

O’Neil, 35, was convicted of possessing and selling meth in a 2008 case and spent six months in prison in the state’s retained jurisdiction program. She was charged with possession with intent to distribute the addictive stimulant in 2009 and 2010.

Verby imposed a two- to five-year sentence in the 2008 case and three- to eight-year terms in the two latter cases. The sentences run concurrently with credit for time served.
