Anonymous posts should not be allowed

Please explain the purpose of allowing anonymous response posts to your online news stories. 

As a reader of both your printed and electronic publications, I fail to see why it is acceptable to be able to post something anonymously in one version, while not in the other.

It would seem that there should be some accountability, otherwise, where are the protections against slandering others or publishing false information, which is a regular occurrence online. 

Do our community a service by striving to provide accurate and thoughtful feedback, rather than an outlet for haters and propagandists.
