Politicians are lacking in common sense

Thank you, Bob Gunter, for your recent column about your trip to the Veterans Hospital in Spokane. you expressed exactly how I feel about our politicians and their take on their own self-importance. I am 76 years old, and it has taken all these years to finally realize that those of us here at home, have more common sense than some of those in office — and we’re not getting paid.
