Ronald R. 'Ronnie' Miller, 68

Ronald R. “Ronnie” Miller, 68, of Sagle, Idaho, died on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Steve Nickodemus, Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, will be officiating and interment will be in the Seneacquoteen Cemetery.

Visiting hours are from 12-6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, at Coffelt Funeral Service.

Ronnie was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on Sept 14, 1941, the son of Gerald. and Margie Miller. In 1949, he moved to the Vay area and graduated eighth grade at Edgemere School. He attended high school in Bonner County and then worked for the U.S. Forest Service in the Priest Lake Ranger District.

Ronnie and Vonnie were married on March 5, 1977, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He worked for the sawmill in Colburn, Idaho, for 38 years. He retired, as a re-saw operator, in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and going to the local community dances.

He is survived by his wife, of 33 years, Vonnie Miller of Sagle; three sons, Don (and Julie) Miller of Boise, Idaho, Todd Miller in Spokane, Wash., and Scott (and Carissa) Rickman in Sandpoint; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; his mother, Margie Stoner in Colfax, Wash.; six sisters, Mava (and David) Gordon of Steptoe, Wash., Millie (and Gordon) Hill of Palouse, Wash; and, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Cindy Miller, Doris Spencer, Wendy Bloom, and Melva McVay; four brothers, Raymond, Wesley, Gordon, and David Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, stepmother, and grandparents.
