Holiday indoor soccer tourney returns

SANDPOINT — Attention area soccer fans: The Adult and Youth Holiday Soccer Tournaments are returning to Sandpoint for the fifth year on Dec. 27-28.

Join Sandpoint Parks and Rec. for a fun-filled indoor soccer tournament at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. The adult soccer tournament, held in conjunction with the youth tournament, is open to players 14 years and older. 

The tournament will be a 5 v 5 format and will take place at the Fairgrounds Main Exhibit Building dovetailing with the Sandpoint Strikers Indoor Youth Tournament.  Adult teams will be drawn on the first night of play and All-Stars will be selected as well for a scrimmage on the evening of the 28th.

Cost of registration is $25 per player and the registration deadline is Dec. 13. Registration forms and more information can be found by contacting Sandpoint Parks and Recreation at 1123 Lake St., or by visiting “www.cityofsandpoint.com.”

• Youth Holiday Soccer Tournament hits Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Attention area youth soccer players: Join the Sandpoint Strikers over the Holiday break for a can’t miss indoor soccer tournament on Dec. 27 and 28th.

The Strikers will sponsor a youth soccer tournament for players U8-U14 in conjunction with the Adult Soccer Tournament sponsored by Sandpoint Parks and Recreation.

Play will take place Monday and Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The tournament format is 5 v 5 (includes keepers), sub on the fly. This is a fun and very fast paced game, and the tournament is open to recreation players and club players alike. 

Team fees are $125 per team, but make sure you get your team registered early. Pick up forms at Sandpoint Parks and Rec. 1123 Lake Street. The registration deadline is Monday, Dec. 13.

All youth registration forms need to be mailed into the Sandpoint Strikers, P.O. Box 70, Ponderay, ID 83852.
