There is plenty to ponder in community

Just a few ramblin’ thoughts:

Who took it upon his or herself to rename Lake Pend Oreille to Pend Oreille Lake?  Or Cocolalla Lake to Lake Cocolalla?

Who took it upon his or herself to rename North Boyer Avenue to North Boyer Road?

Why can’t we settle on calling it a bypass or byway?  Let’s stop using one or the other.

The Department of Lands or Forest Service has 40 acres of clearcut that will be reforested and all heck breaks loose; Schweitzer has more than 2,000 acres of clearcut that will be maintained as clearcut and there is not a whimper from anyone.

Are TV weather forecasters hired on their ability to talk fast?

Or has my hearing slowed that much?

Why not set up a fleet of old airliners, man them with flight crews that object to screening and use them to fly the objectors to screening. Design flight paths to avoid all areas densely populated.

Corporations are paying off politicians for favorable votes. Why not get some of that money back into the economy? Let the political candidates buy their votes!

“Hey, Pete, I’ll give you $200 for your vote.” “Sorry, Frank, Victor offered me $250.” “OK, I’ll up it to $300.” ”OK, Frank, you got my vote.”

This should get the money back in circulation to stimulate the economy.
