Hazel Marie Copley

Hazel Marie Copley passed away on Nov. 30, 2010, in Hot Springs, Mont.

Hazel was born Nov. 7, 1921 in Bear Creek, Mont., near Red Lodge, where her father worked in the mines.

They settled in Missoula where Hazel attended school. She later moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, with her brother, Richard Kohal, where she met and married Leo Copley. They had five children.

She worked for many years in Sand-point at the Travel-ers, the Pastime Café, and The Litehouse in Hope, Idaho. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Copley; three brothers, Dick, Ed, and Marvin Kohal; and grandson, Rick Copley.

She is survived by her five children, Harry Copley of Anaconda, Mont., Doug Copley of Hot Springs, Mont., Larry Copley of Sandpoint, Linda Hayes of Sandpoint, and Dennis Copley of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
