Rebounding leads Bulldogs past Lumberjacks
SANDPOINT — Jackson Olin and Cole Fuhrman combined for 40 points, and Mike Lewis was big off the bench, as the Bulldog boys notched a 65-55 win over St. Maries in nonleague action Thursday night at Les Rogers Court.
The Bulldogs (4-2) dominated on the boards, holding a 42-23 edge led by Evan Rains, who pulled down seven to go with seven points. Olin finished a tidy 7-11 from the field.
“Olin and Cole were steady and consistent, played within what we do,” said head coach Tyler Haynes, lauding the play of Lewis off the bench. “Mike came off the bench at the end and really stepped up big.”
Sandpoint hosts West Valley on Saturday.
