Priest River girls notch first win of season
NEWPORT, Wash. — Liz Halcro scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Spartans to their first win of the season, a 42-36 victory over Riverside to start the Holiday Tournament in Newport.
Steffie Paveyrecorded nine points, six steals and five rebounds in a great all-around effort.
Priest River advances to face the winner of Newport and Cusick in the championship game tonight at 6 p.m.

Salesky drops in 28 to lead Spartans
NEWPORT, Wash. — Senior guard Max Salesky scored a game-high 28 points and Priest River defeated Riverside 70-45 to start the Holiday Tournament in Newport.
Eric Holbrook added 13 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocked shots from the point for Priest River (2-1), which faces the winner of Newport and Cusick in the championship game tonight at 7:30 p.m.
