Pelosi's journey was costly for taxpayers
Out of curiosity, did you or someone you know get invited to fly the friendly skies with Nancy Pelosi to Copenhagen for the Climate Change Summit? My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. I hope you were invited, it’s our tax dollars that paid for the trip.
Madam Pelosi’s “A list,” comprised of Congress members and some of their spouses, and more than 100 Congress-related attendees flew to Denmark in style. It took three military jets, specifically two 747s and one Gulf Stream 5 to deliver the delegation and, thankfully for Denmark, bring them back home.
Since you as a taxpayer are footing the bill, you might be asking yourself, how much did this Pelosi party end up costing? We really don’t know as of yet … Nancy’s not talking.
Transportation? It takes 27 hours to fly round trip. Three planes. That’s a lot of high octane. We have 341 rooms booked at the five-star Marriot Hotel, your guess as to the cost? Gourmet meals? I’m pretty sure they weren’t dining on tuna fish sandwiches.
So wow, did we get some bang for our buck here or what? I wonder about how much pollution spewed out the back of those jets to take Pelosi’s party to a climate summit. How ironic is that? Being third in line for the presidency, Madam Speaker has certainly demonstrated her fondness to spend, and loyalty to party.
Doesn’t it give you warm fuzzies just thinking about Nancy and her partygoers taking a nice vacation on your dime?
