Add jars at businesses to help school district

| February 22, 2010 8:00 PM

As I travel around Bonner County, and visit different establishments, I’m struck by the containers on the checkout counters that ask for donations for various citizens who are in need.

And people respond. I think, despite some of the letters I read in the editorial comment section, that most citizens are concerned and generous.

So now the LPOSD is in financial straits.

Whatever the cause, in your opinion, the crisis is here, and they need your help.

Why not find out how you can make a charitable contribution to the school in your neighborhood or to the district. It’s a sign of shared sacrifice and concern for the education of the next generation citizens and workers in your county.

I can imagine the responses both for and against. No matter. Think about it.
