PONDERAY — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a burglar who struck the Ponderay Post Office last weekend.
The post office was burglarized sometime between noon on Sunday and Monday morning. The perpetrator forced open a door at the office and made off with an undisclosed amount of petty cash, said Ponderay Police Chief Mike Hutter.
It was not immediately clear Monday if anything else was stolen during the break-in, Hutter said.
Those with information about who was behind the crime are asked to call the Ponderay Police Department at 265-4251 or the U.S. Postal Inspection Service toll-free at (877) 867-2455. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
