Darlys Novella Adams, 73, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Darlys was born on Feb. 13, 1936, in Yuba City, Calif., to Richard and Ruby Young. She grew up and attended schools in Yuba City, where she married Jess Chandler Harris. The couple settled in Sacramento and Darlys worked as an ophthalmology assistant with Drs. White, Kaufman, and Fleischmann.

She was later married to Raleigh Adams.

In 2007 due to health reasons she moved to Clark Fork, Idaho, to live with her daughter.

She loved her cats, and enjoyed needle point and crocheting. Memorial donations may be made to Panhandle Animal Shelter, 870 Kootenai Cutoff Road, Ponderay, Idaho 83852.

She is survived by 2 daughters Ruby (Sheldon) Derby of Clark Fork, ID and Christina (Ward) Wilder of Susanville, CA; 4 grandchildren Holly (Kevin) Weber, Kim Carter, Josh (Amber) Derby, and Kristy Wilder; 6 great grandchildren Hayley, Lily, Jordan, Jailyn, Athena, and Alexia; one step-brother Richard Young of Sacramento; step-mother Ric Young of Yuba City, CA; aunt Warna Huff of Yuba City, CA; and best friends Rosemary, Ron, Fred, and Hal.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Marcia Harris.
