Obama wrong choice

As a world citizen and secondarily a U.S. citizen, I find myself shocked and angered at the choice for the Nobel Peace Prize: President Barak Obama. Don’t get me wrong. I voted for Obama thinking he was our best choice for leading us to a lasting world peace.
But what is peaceful about amping up the war in Afghanistan by sending in 30,000 more troops? This does not make sense to me.
A better choice for the prize would be Greg Mortenson who has been working in Pakistan and Afghanistan for years building schools in defiance of the Taliban. Educated communities are not easily influenced by the Taliban.
