| January 28, 2010 8:00 PM

SAGLE — Black Bear Tang Soo Do in Sagle will be hosting a 5th degree master black belt from Massachusetts on Saturday.

Master James Frenette will be at the Sagle school to oversee belt testing on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., then will lead a seminar from 1:15 to 3 p.m. Both events are open to the public to attend free of charge.

The belt test promotion will feature 22 local athletes vying for a range of belts. The seminar/demonstration will focus on board breaking, self-defense and specific techniques related to the tests. Frenette has more than 30 years of experience, and represents the American Tang Soo Do Association.

Visits from ATA masters will be regular at Black Bear, and a future visit from the Grandmaster of the organization, Grandmaster Richard Byrne, is planned for later this year.

ATA certified instructor Ted Greenblott is honored to have such support from the ATA and is very excited to have Master Fernette coming to evaluate his school.
