We need a thorough House cleaning
The Democrats still think Bush bashing works and I hope they keep doing so. The voters will not reward that strategy because the Democrats have been in complete control long enough.
House Budget Committee Chairman Spratt talks about the recession “inherited from Bush” but fails to explain why the Democrats, in control of Congress since 2006, did nothing to avert it. The Dems even claim Republican obstructionism, again forgetting that they held a clear majority in the House and a supermajority in the Senate — they couldn’t be obstructed.
Of course the real answer to the recession blame game is that Frank, Schumer, Pelosi, Waters and Obama caused it, but that they will never admit. The Republicans don’t get off the hook either, they should have attacked the phony mortgage regulations but failed to do so, and sold out their values to vote like Democrats for more and more big government.
We need a thorough House (and Senate) cleaning.
