Meth suspect back in jail
SANDPOINT — A Careywood woman accused of selling methamphetamine is back in custody, the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday.
Leslie Rae Dorland, 34, was booked into the county jail on Wednesday. Judge Barbara Buchanan set Dorland’s bail at $100,000 on Thursday, court records show.
Three arrest warrants were issued against Dorland after she failed to appear at a sentencing hearing meant to resolve two pending meth cases and a probation violation in a third case.
Dorland is scheduled to appear in 1st District Court on July 22, according to court documents. She faces three to eight years in prison, according to the terms of a pretrial settlement.
Dorland, authorities said, returned to a life of crime and drugs following her release from prison in a 2008 meth case. She was accused of trafficking and delivery of meth in the summer of 2009.
