Resident is glad to be an American

It’s July 4th. I’ve been thinking about how lucky I am and the great people that make this country what it is. It’s these people that give our country an abundance of greatness.

As an example, think of all the people that worked on the parade and events this weekend. I have no idea who they are, and I’m sure most of us don’t. But they gave their time and energy to provide enjoyment for the entire town and our guests. They gave our kids memories that will be part of their core for the rest of their life.

Most of us aren’t aware of the efforts and financial contributions of our local organizations and merchants (large and small). But these are the people who give of themselves for the benefit of us all. These are the people that give America the soul no other country in the world has.

This truly is a great country.
