Billy Charles Ezell, 69, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, in the Church of the Nazarene in Ponderay, Idaho. Pastor Chad Wilks will be the officiant.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Alabama.

Billy was born in Ozark, Ala., on Feb. 19, 1941, the son of Tom and Bessie Ezell.

He grew up in Alabama and served with the U.S. Army from 1959 until 1961.

He had worked on oil rigs, off the coast of Louisiana, as a pipe fitter.

In 2000 he moved to Sandpoint.

Billy loved his family, fishing, hunting, and country gospel music.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary E. Geiger of Ponderay, Idaho, and Voncill Merritt in Alabama; five brothers, Jimmy Ezell in Alabama, Jerry Ezell in Florida, Bobby Ezell in Alabama, Donny Ezell in Louisiana; and Ronnie Ezell in Florida; and an aunt, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
