Marjorie Elizabeth Wheeler, 87

Marjorie Elizabeth Wheeler, 87, passed away on July 5, 2010, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Sandpoint Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Rick McCombs officiating.

Marjorie was born on Jan. 8, 1923 in Pasadena, Calif., to Leonard and Eva Lee. In her youth she remembered helping build the Rose Bowl Parade floats. She attended schools in Colfax and Auburn.

On Dec. 30, 1940,she married Robert Wheeler. They met at the Colfax fruit sheds where he made boxes for the fruit and she packed the fruit into those boxes.

In retirement they enjoyed winters in Quartzite, Ariz. In 2001 they moved from Colfax, Calif., to Sandpoint.

Marjorie is a member of the Sandpoint Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed needle work, hand crafts, decorating cakes, photography and traveling. 

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Wheeler of Sandpoint; daughter, Areleen (Mike) Stevenson of Sandpoint; and nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

\She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Jerry Lee; and two daughters, Roseland Patterson and Mariea Price.
