GOP is just following fair theme in own way

In response to David Keyes column in the July 8, 2010 paper — the Bonner County Republican Central Committee is not “politicizing the fair, they are simply following its theme in their own unique way. Fiesta means celebrate.

Republicans support Arizona’s immigration laws, and that’s not wrong or inappropriate. It is their first amendment right to voice their concerns on current issues. Also, my own research shows that English is our nation’s language and Spanish is taught as a foreign language in schools. This I know for sure being a 15-year-old high school student.

As far as BCRCC’s lack of reaction to past fair themes the BCRCC’s booth is there to put forth their views on current policies, not attack the fair.

Finally, how is proposing immigration reform in our nation racist? Racist definition: hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. We are not proposing hatred or intolerance, just a system that creates more organization and safety for everyone, including the immigrants.
