Christopher Michael Therien Sr., 57

Christopher Michael Therien Sr., 57, passed away peacefully at his home in Clark Fork, Idaho, on Thursday, July 8, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Clark Fork Cemetery with military honors.

Chris was born on Oct. 29, 1952, in Corvallis, Ore., to Robert Flowerree and Myrtle Therien.

He grew up in Priest River and Clark Fork, graduating from Clark Fork High School in 1971.

Chris was drafted into the United States Army, and honorably served his country in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Chris returned to Clark Fork and married Eva C. Rehn, they were later divorced.

He worked for the railroad running heavy equipment until his early retirement.

Chris was a member of the Clark Fork Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10320. His pride and joy was his 1967 Camaro, and his family, he also enjoyed tinkering in his shop.

Chris is survived by his father, Robert Flowerree in Southern California; a stepson, Peter Faust of Garwood, Idaho; three stepdaughters, Donna Neff of Hayden, Idaho, Victoria (Mark) Linscott of Sandpoint, and Andrea Silva of Belmont, La.; aunts, Violet Thornton of Clark Fork, and Elaine Loftin of Junction City, Ore.; numerous cousins, including the children of Nonie Rojan, Rich Therien, Hankie VanStone, Doris Murritta, Elaine Loftin and Violet Thornton; and 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Therien; and a son, Christopher Michael Therien Jr.
