Joe E. Stevens, 58

Born on Jan. 17, 1952, the son of Ray and Margaret Stevens passed on March 2, 2010, after a gallant fight against diabetes.

A celebration of the life for Joe Stevens will be held for family and friends at 4 p.m. on July 31 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall located at 1325 Pine St, Sandpoint. Refreshments and cake furnished.

Joe and Sharon Carnegie were married and she preceded him in death in 2009.  He worked in the family logging business for many years, retiring in 1995 due to health issues. 

He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting deer and elk.
