Idaho Club opens for public play

SANDPOINT — The Idaho Club announced this week that its Jack Nicklaus Signature course is now open to the general public each day throughout the 2010 season. Starting times may be reserved by caIling the golf shop at 265-2345, and are available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tee times are required and players should call for reservations in advance.

The par 71, 7089 yard layout is nestled in a beautiful valley along the Pack River, with abundant waterways, tree lined fairways and granite rock outcroppings. It is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Idaho and features bent grass tees, fairways and greens, with fescue roughs.

In addition to the Championship tees, there are three additional sets of tees that range in yardage from 6,560 to 5,049 yards, so players of all levels of ability can enjoy their round. In addition, a new set of junior tees is available for players nine and under, playing at 3,800 yards.

The rate for the 20 I0 season is $125 per round, including the use of a golf cart and the practice facility before play. A twilight rate (after 2 p.m.) is available for $80 per round. Residents of Bonner County will receive a $15 discount off of both of the above rates for the 2010 season.
