Mable Irene Doyle, 89

Mable Irene Doyle, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Sandpoint, Idaho. A memorial potluck will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Sandpoint Senior Center.

Mable was born Aug. 4, 1920, to Roy and Ethyl Gardner in Harrison, Idaho. She grew up and attended schools in Clarkia.

She married Gene Doyle on April 15, 1944 in St. Maries, Idaho. The couple first made their home in Colburn, Idaho, and later in 1957, moved to Sandpoint.

Mable will be remembered as the clerk at Bi-Rite Drug Store where she worked for 24 years. She then began volunteering at the Sandpoint Senior Thrift Store, where she remained for the next 20 years until its closing.

Mable thoroughly enjoyed meeting people at Bi-Rite and the thrift store; it was her joy in life.

She is survived by her daughter, Molly Wageman and her companion Charlie Womack of Houston, Texas; grandson, Michael (and wife Anita) Wageman and their children, Sofia and Carlos, all of San Jose, Calif.; and grandson, Chris Wageman and his daughter, Savannah, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Edna Capellen of Moscow, Idaho; a brother, Clark Gardner of Puyallup, Wash., a niece, Patsy Sylvester of Kamiah, Idaho; and special friends, Regina Hammack and Buff Johnson of Ponderay, Idaho, Sam and Belinda Hart of Sagle, Idaho; and and Nadine Steen and family of Ponderay. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene Doyle, who passed away in 1986; son-in-law, John Wageman, and five siblings.
