Sandpoint firefighters deserve thanks, kudos

We would like to take this opportunity to honor and thank the Sandpoint Fire Department for their hard work and community service.

The individuals of the fire department donated their personal time and skills to be auctioned off at a charity benefit for Community Cancer Services last fall. Not only did CCS benefit from the money raised, but also as the winners of the auction item, we accomplished an unbelievable amount of work on a project in just a few days.

During the course of the day, it was obvious this group of professionals train to work together rightly and efficiently. They far exceeded our expectations, but more importantly renewed our confidence that we are well protected by the Sandpoint Fire Department should an emergency come to pass.

Thank you, members of the Sandpoint Fire Department. Your constant training prepares you both for emergencies and acts of generosity. We appreciate the hard work you did for us, and we admire your generosity in giving your free time to benefit CCS and the other charities you help.
