Bee's View attempts to sway voters
On Sunday, May 23, I read the Bee’s View candidate endorsements. I do not subscribe to the Daily Bee to read David Keyes’ opinion on anything. Would he have me believe that the Bee’s View is the opinion of all its employees without any disagreement? Then it is David Keyes’ opinion.
I don’t mean any disrespect but why should we, the readers, be concerned about your personal opinion? I don’t know you personally and I don’t buy the Bee because of you. I tolerate the common clerical errors the paper prints but I cannot tolerate opinions and conjecture in a newspaper because it dilutes the truth.
Granted, you added a disclaimer to your opinion: “The opinions expressed on this page should not be confused with how our reporters cover these races.” Why should I believe that? How do I know I am actually reading the facts and not the opinion and conjecture of others when the publisher is guilty of the same practice? You’re not being fair and unbiased to the candidates. Unless, of course, you are trying to sway voters to vote the way you want. It’s my opinion you are.
