Two injured in rear-end crash

SAGLE — Two people were injured in a rear-end collision on U.S. Highway 95 on Saturday afternoon.

Idaho State Police said Luke R. Ringhand was headed southbound in a Buick Century and crashed into the back of a Pontiac Bonneville that was stopped on the highway, waiting to turn east onto Heath Lake Road.

Ringhand, a 21-year-old from Spokane, Wash., was taken to Bonner General Hospital. His passenger, 19-year-old Caleb M. Ringhand of Athol, was also taken to BGH, ISP said.

The driver of the Pontiac, 81-year-old John G. Watson of Sagle, was not injured, state police said.

All subjects were wearing seat belts. Luke Ringhand was cited for inattentive driving, ISP said.
