As long as it's done legally, all welcome

| June 8, 2010 9:00 PM

Doesn’t every American, except illegal immigrants, agree with this: Everyone has a right to come to this country as long as it done legally.

Being a first-generation American myself I feel strongly about this.

What gives anyone the right to enter this country without the proper papers. It’s against the law. And this law should be enforced. American citizens cannot go to any other country without proper papers, then why should we be any different?

If caught, employers who hire illegal immigrants should be faced with very stiff fines and then possible prosecution and incarceration for repeat offenders.

Every state in the union should follow the example that Arizona has established and stop this illegal immigration issue once and for all.

Should our troops that are in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and elsewhere be sent home to patrol our boarders allowing immigration officers to search out and find the illegal immigrants that are in our country now and send them all back to where they came from? Maybe, it’s food for thought anyway.
